Infrastructure

Structured Cabling
& Fiber Optics.

The physical foundation of your enterprise network. We design, pull, and certify high-performance cabling infrastructure engineered for strict Ontario building codes and zero packet loss.

The Alphian Standard

Why Electricians Shouldn't Run Your Data Cables.

It is a common mistake in commercial build-outs to have the electrical contractor pull the network cables. While electricians are experts at handling high-voltage power, data cabling is a completely different science.

Electricity flows regardless of how a wire is bent. Data, however, consists of delicate, high-frequency signals. If a Cat6 cable is pulled too hard, kinked around a corner, or zip-tied too tightly, the internal geometry is crushed. This causes "crosstalk" and invisible data packet loss that will permanently cripple your network speeds.

Precision Engineering

We don't just "pull wire." We engineer data pathways designed to maximize throughput and guarantee the lifespan of your IT investment, maintaining strict adherence to bend-radius limits and EMI (Electromagnetic Interference) separation.

Compliance & Architecture

Building Safety and Regulatory Compliance.

Choosing the right cable is about more than just speed; it is about strict adherence to building codes and ensuring the safety of your facility.

FT4 vs. FT6 (Plenum)

ONTARIO BUILDING CODE

In Ontario, if a network cable is run through a drop ceiling or raised floor used for air circulation, the law requires FT6 (Plenum-rated) cable. Standard FT4 emits highly toxic smoke if burned. We audit every facility to ensure 100% compliance.

Cat6 & Cat6A Copper

THE INDUSTRY STANDARD

Cat6 supports Gigabit speeds up to 328 feet, making it perfect for workstations, VoIP, and CCTV. Cat6A features thicker shielding for 10-Gigabit speeds, ideal for high-end Wi-Fi access points and future-proofing your infrastructure.

Fiber Optic

HIGH-CAPACITY BACKBONE

Uses light to transmit data. It is completely immune to electrical interference and can span kilometers without signal degradation. We deploy Fiber to connect separate server rooms across large warehouses and enterprise campuses.

Clean Structured Cabling Patch Panel

The Art of the Server Rack

The Anatomy of a Perfect Drop.

A cable is only as strong as its termination. Poorly punched wall jacks or messy server racks cause intermittent disconnects that frustrate staff and cost you money.

01 — In the Wall (Keystones)

Every desk drop is terminated into high-grade keystone jacks and finished with a clean faceplate. No exposed wires, no weak connections.

02 — In the Server Room

We route every cable into rack-mounted patch panels. We use proper horizontal and vertical cable management so every single port is labeled, color-coded, and easy to trace for future IT troubleshooting.

Technical Insights

Expert Cabling FAQs.

Always ask these three things:

1. "Are you using pure Solid Bare Copper or CCA?" (CCA stands for Copper-Clad Aluminum. It is a cheap, fragile knockoff cable that cannot properly support PoE for cameras and phones. Alphian uses 100% Solid Copper).
2. "Will you provide Fluke certification reports?" (Testing proves the cable handles the speed it promises).
3. "Do you provide a labeled floor plan?" (You need to know where drop #42 actually goes).

Yes. Every single cable we terminate is meticulously tested using commercial-grade certification tools. We test for wire-mapping, crosstalk, length, and signal loss. This guarantees the run meets strict industry standards.

If your cables are new but your network drops, the most common culprits are poor terminations or installation damage. If the installer untwisted too much of the wire at the patch panel, or if they pulled the cable tightly over a sharp metal ceiling joist, it destroys the cable's ability to block interference.

Absolutely. We offer comprehensive server rack cleanup and remediation services. We will audit your current connections on a weekend or after-hours, remove dead cables, install proper cable management panels, and re-patch your network so it is clean, labeled, and easy for your IT team to maintain.
